There will be NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, November 11th in honor of Veteran’s Day.

Our 4th graders are taking the DSTP this week.  Make sure that they get plenty of sleep and a nutritious breakfast.

PLEASE join us for K-Reads Family Night and ELA (English Language Arts) Family Night on Thursday, October 15th.  Children in grades k-2 will meet in their teacher’s classroom from 6:30 until 7:00.  Children in grades 3-5 will meet in their teacher’s classroom from 7:05 until 7:35.  Please be sure to visit the PTA sponsored Book Fair before or after visiting your child’s classroom.  The Book Fair will be held in the multipurpose room.  Let your child’s teacher know if you will be attending, as each child who attends will receive free reading materials for home!

We had a great start to our school year today!  There are many new staff members at Southern, and many new students.  Welcome to our new teachers, children, and families!
